Ms. Fuerst holds Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees from the Manhattan School of Music. She is a passionate music educator and advocate for opera and classical music outreach. She has served as the Director of Early Childhood Education at the acclaimed Larchmont Music Academy in Westchester, NY, since 2010, currently works with the San Francisco Symphony Concert for Kids, and is a founding voice/piano teacher with the Royal Conservatory Achievement Program. Her students have enjoyed top marks in national competitions and admission to highly competitive performing arts schools and universities. Ms. Fuerst currently teaches privately in the Bay Area.
Hannah Fuerst is an enthusiastic COVID-convert to voiceover, specializing in children’s programming and audiobook narration. Hannah records from her professional home studio (Whisper Room) and can be heard narrating a wide range of books on audible, iTunes, and Amazon. Her extensive stage training, as well as improv abilities, allows her to provide an accurate, layered, and appealing performance in an unusually efficient time-frame. Hannah also provides her clients with music selection, editing (ProTools), sound design, and SFX services.
Before the pandemic, Ms. Fuerst was a sought-after coloratura soprano for operatic, chamber, and crossover music. Ms. Fuerst has performed professionally with the Aspen Opera Theatre Center, Opera San Jose, Bronx Opera Company, American Opera Projects, Opera Moderne, Delaware Valley Opera, the Resonant Bodies Festival, and the Institute & Festival for Contemporary Performance. She has appeared in recital with renowned pianists William Vendice and Alden Gatt, the contemporary chamber group Lunatics at Large, the San Jose Chamber Orchestra, and the San Jose Baroque Orchestra. Ms. Fuerst was a semi-finalist in the international Lotte Lenya competition for outstanding actors, and she has been brought in as a guest artist to the NYU Graduate Musical Theatre Writing workshop. Ms. Fuerst is an active proponent of new music, and favorite operatic roles include Blöndchen (Die Entführung aus dem Serail), Soeur Constance (Les Dialogues des Carmelites), Lulu, Queen of the Night, and Stravinsky’s Rossignol.
